Kryder Salon Groomers

Heather Brown
Grooming Manager
Hello! I’m Heather, the Grooming Manager here at Kryder Salon. I’d love to share a bit about myself and how my grooming journey began.
My career in pet grooming started in 1999 at a local corporate store, where I worked as a bather and began learning the foundations of grooming. In 2001, I took the next step and attended the Paragon School of Pet Grooming. Since then, I’ve worked in various local grooming salons and veterinary clinics, gaining valuable experience and expanding my knowledge along the way.
I’m CPR certified and have partially completed my Master Groomer Certification, holding certification in the Non-Sporting Group. I’ve also had the honor of competing in grooming competitions—including taking 2nd place at Pet Fair in Atlanta in 2020! I’m often referred to as a “doodle specialist,” and I truly enjoy the challenge and creativity these breeds bring.
In addition to hands-on experience, I’ve invested in continuing education with classes and seminars focused on:
• Skin and coat health
• Pet nutrition
• Hand stripping
• Grooming business management
• The “Humanity Before Vanity” approach
• Enrichment styling
• Difficult dog handling (I am certified in this area)
While I groom all breeds, my specialty lies in high-maintenance coats and pets who are anxious, fearful, or behaviorally challenged. I believe in building relationships with clients based on honesty, trust, and compassion—which has led to many wonderful connections throughout my career.
Since joining Kryder Salon, I’ve been overwhelmed by the support and trust from our team and clients. It’s been a truly rewarding experience, and I look forward to continuing to grow here—helping your pups look and feel their very best!

Haley B
Groomer
My name is Haley, I always say it's an easy name to remember because if you say hey, you're halfway there!
A little bit about me, I grew up with dogs and I have been working with dogs since 2017. I started out as a volunteer at Pet Refuge on Saturday nights for nearly 6 years. I started there because I wanted another dog but being a college student and having 2 dogs of my own at the time, I knew that wasn't a good idea. So volunteering helped to fill that desire. I got hired in at PetSmart in 2020 where I started as a bather and then learned how to groom. I was there for a little over 5 years before making the jump of leaving corporate and working here at Kyder! I graduated from IUSB with a Bachelor's in Health Science but I found my work with dogs to more fulfilling and rewarding. My favorite breed is the Doberman Pinscher. I have had 2 so far, one passed a few years back and I just got my male dobie puppy in 2025! I also have another dog, she's a small mix and 15.5 years old that I have had since I was 6th grade. Things I do in my free time consist of dog shows and training classes with my Doberman, world/state traveling with my husband, and you may also see me serving beer occasionally at a local brewery for fun!

Kaylee Evans
Groomer
Hello, I’m Kaylee. I was born and raised in Southern California, I’ve had a love for animals of all kinds—mammals, reptiles, rodents, and insects—for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by animals of every size, from tiny rodents to full-size horses. For years, I rode horses and barrel raced, and I was always the one in the family helping bathe and care for our pets. I knew early on that working with animals would be part of my life’s purpose.
In 2015, my life changed dramatically when my family lost everything—including our beloved pets—in a house fire. Among them was my first dog, Abbie, a Blue Tick Beagle I received as a Christmas gift when I was five. That loss deepened my bond with animals even more and solidified my desire to dedicate my life to caring for them.
Soon after, we adopted two German Shepherds, Daisy and Phoenix, from our local shelter and enrolled them in Schutzhund training—a sport that focuses on tracking, obedience, and protection. That experience fueled my passion even more.
After fostering six abandoned three-week-old Labrador puppies, I fell in love with one of them—Lacey—who became part of my forever family alongside Daisy and Phoenix. I also share my home with two cats, Icelynn and Piper, and a bearded dragon named Edgar.
In 2019, after moving to Indiana, I began my grooming career at a corporate salon. Eager to grow, I transitioned to a local grooming shop, where I met Heather and officially began my grooming training. Though I later moved salons, I always kept in touch with Heather—and in 2022, I was thrilled to reunite with her at Kryder Kritter Salon.
I couldn’t be more excited to be part of this amazing team and continue growing in the grooming industry. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companions and making them look and feel their very best!
